SURVIVING THE WILDERNESS 

A real taste of Bushcraft Survival, this holiday camp has an exhilarating line up of activities and challenges for our more advanced campers. If you have completed our 3 or 5 day explorer summer camps this one is for you… this takes what you have learned and teaches you the next steps, giving you the chance to really test your skill on our Camp Out challenge! All activities are bushcraft based.

Our Advanced Explorer children’s holiday camp is a true adventure in the wilderness. By building on previous skills, children get the opportunity to showcase their explorer talents and survive the wild! With 5 days packed full of bushcraft activities and games, this camp offers an unbeatable and unforgettable experience.

COURSE OVERVIEW 

AN EXPERT IN SURVIVAL

During our Advanced Explorer summer camps, the campers develop resilience, independence, and a deeper connection with the natural world. The kids sleep in a mix of safari-style bell tents and shelters they have built themselves situated around a central – yurt. This is all tented accommodation and gives a real back to nature experience.

Highlights include: Advanced Fire Lighting Techniques, Advanced Knife Skills & Bow Drill Crafting, Advanced ‘Camp Out’ Challenge, Archery, Wilderness First Aid, Scenario SOS, Fire-Lighting, Shelter-Building, Tribes Got Talent, Wilderness Cookery, Camp Craft, Fireside Stories, Marshmallows and Hot Chocolate

HOW DO I BOOK?

To book on our website, firstly click ‘book’ in the top right-hand corner, following this please choose a camp location and date and follow the booking instructions. You can book multiple children on each camp, if required. Alternatively, please call 03332 004469 and a member of our customer service team will be able to help you.

DOES MY CHILD NEED TO COME IN A GROUP OR CAN THEY COME ON THEIR OWN?

Many of the children come to camp on their own and have a wonderful time. They always leave with lots of new friends and it’s a great time for them to build their confidence and develop new skills.

MY CHILDREN WANT TO COME TOGETHER BUT ARE DIFFERENT AGES. CAN THEY BE ON THE SAME CAMP?

Yes, if you would like your children to be in the same ‘Tribe’, please add their names to the ‘Tribe’ buddies’ section of the website. This can be found by signing in, clicking campers, edit next to the name of your camper and then adding their buddies names in the tribe buddies section.

At the end of each camp at Camp Wilderness, campers are awarded a coveted badge as a symbol of their accomplishment and completion of the course. These badges are celebration of their achievement for completing the camp and recognises the skills they have now leaned and the experiences they have gained.

As a camper you can collect the badges by completing all of the courses. Wear these with pride when you return the following year for your next adventure!
