Camp is a phone-free zone. For a few days, children swap scrolling for shelter-building, group chats for campfire chats, and find out just how much they are capable of.
Phones stay at home and our team keeps you in the loop, with an email update on the middle day of every camp.

A little about us
Bushcraft experts since day one.
Camp Wilderness is run by The Bushcraft Company, the UK’s largest provider of bushcraft camps and a leading provider of school trips. We are part of Active Learning Group.
Every team member is enhanced DBS-checked, every camp leader is first aid trained and our field cooks hold food hygiene certificates.
Yes. Many children arrive on their own. They are placed in a tribe of up to ten, and siblings or friends can be grouped together using “Tribe buddies” on the form we email you after booking.
Can they bring a phone?
Camp has a strict no-tech rule, so please leave phones and electronics at home. We email you an update on the middle day of camp and will call you directly if we need to.
What’s included in the price?
Everything: accommodation, all activities, freshly cooked meals and snacks. Special diets are catered for and camp has a strict no-nut policy.
Who looks after the children?
Our experienced, enhanced DBS-checked team, with a ratio of 1 member of staff to 8 children. Staff sleep in the yurt on camp every night, with at least one female member of staff on site at all times.
Where do children sleep?
In single-sex bell tents in groups of 8 to 10, or wooden eco pods for up to 4 on Trailblazer Camp.
What happens if it rains?
Camp carries on. The tree canopy gives plenty of shelter and activities can move into our large yurts. If rain is forecast, please pack waterproofs, wellies and a few spare layers so they stay warm and dry.
What are drop-off and pick-up times?
Drop-off is between 10am and 10:30am on the first day and pick-up is at 2pm on the last day. Full directions are in your Parent’s Pack.
