Tips for Encouraging Adventure in Children
In addition to reading books, there are many other things you can do to encourage adventure in children. Here are a few tips:
- Take them on outdoor adventures, such as hiking through woodlands and forest
- Let them explore your garden or neighbourhood
- Encourage them to try new things, such as playing a new sport or learning a new skill
- Read them books about different cultures and places.
- Talk to them about their dreams and goals
- Book them on a Camp Wilderness summer camp adventure!
Be a role model for adventure by being excited about new experiences yourself.
The most important thing is to make sure that children have opportunities to explore the world around them and to have fun. When children are exposed to adventure, they learn to be more confident, resilient, and creative. They also develop a greater appreciation for the world around them. So get out there and explore!
